Regional government agricultural initiatives
Zimbabwean Grain Marketing Board
In 2006, African Micro Mills worked with the Zimbabwean Grain Marketing Board to implement a national wheat milling inititiative in Zimbabwe.
The initial tender called for four wheat milling plants, each with a 2 ton/hour capacity, were to be located in strategic positions in Zimbabwe. The plants would be required to produce top quality flour, and the supplier was to be responsible for the commissioning, delivery, installation and testing of all four plants. The GMB required that the Zimbabwean staff receive basic training during the handover period.
The cutting edge technology of tour global suppliers and African Micro Mills' expertise and knowledge of SADC markets proved the winning combination, and African Micro Mills was awarded the tender.
